This section is a work in progress. As I have started working through a list of the best resources I have used to learn and become skilled in this business, I have been overwhelmed by the sheer volume of things I’ve read and used in the last 2 years. Please don’t get overwhelmed. Take them one at a time and section by section – don’t try to do it all at once – it is a process!

Books
One of the best investments you can may in your business and in yourself is Training and Education, Throughout the resources section, I make alot of recommendations for books because they are inexpensive introductions to topics that you should become familiar with. Now, you don’t have to become proficient at every aspect of Online Business and Marketing – that is what outsourcing is for. But it is still good to be knowledgable about many of these topics to enhance your awareness and your skills.

As you begin your internet marketing research, one of the first questions we encounter is "What should I sell?". Despite the title, this book goes way beyond the scope of eBay and is extremely helpful to anyone looking for their first eCommerce ideas. I found the sections written by Chris Malta extrememly helpful as they go into the details and techniques behind finding and working with distributors. That is one of the biggest hurdles to the new eStore owner. |

Yahoo! Merchant Services is one of the most uer-friendly eCommerce platforms available today. However, there are still a list of things that you need to become proficient at – even if you hire out many of them, you should be familiar with how they are done. This book simplifies the process and provides a good overview along with many details on how to get started and stay organized. |

One thing I learned about 6 months into growing and running an online business is that You Can’t Do Everything. And one thing I was never particularly great at was Graphic Design. But these guys are! If you have not seen my ecommerce site – visit www.Nitro-Toyz.com. This is a Yahoo Store. Seriously, it is. And the folks at 1 choice have created a design and are awesome at RTML. Really, they can do almost anything. Yes, I have now learned a ton of RTML and I make most my own updates. But I still go to them for all site re-designs and major projects.
